School Day Begins: 8:35am

Walkers Dismissal: 3:05pm

Bus Departure: 3:10pm

Important Opening Note:

For your child's protection, please see that he/she does not

arrive prior to 8:20am. Students should enter the building through

their assigned school doors.

Carpools (New rules for 2006-07!)

For safety reasons, the main school driveway is closed to all traffic except buses

between 8:20am and 8:35am and between 2:55pm and 3:20pm. If you

transport your child to/from school, please drop off your child along the Nicodemus

Rd. sidewalk. Please have students cross Nicodemus at the crossing guard in

front of the school to ensure the safety of your child.

School personnel will be outside to supervise arrival and

dismissal. In the morning, children will walk to the their assigned doors (which

vary by grade) to enter the building. Please do not park in reserved spaces

or block Nicodemus Road dropping off your child(ren).

Buses

Bus Rules:

Follow directions the first time they are given.
Stay Seated, facing forward at all times.
Keep all parts inside the bus.
Keep hands, feet, legs, arms, personal property and voice to yourself.
No eating, smoking, drinking or vulgar language on the bus at any time.

Rules for Getting On the Bus:

Forma a single line to get on the bus.
Approach the bus after it ahs come to a complete stop and the driver opens the door.
Walk quietly without pushing.
Use the handrail next to the steps.
Take steps one at a time.
Go directly to a seat.

Rules for Getting Off the Bus:

Wait until the bus stops before getting out of your seat.
Students closest to the front should leave first.
Move quickly without pushing or shoving.
Use the handrail , taking steps one at a time.
Go directly and immediately to your house or other designated place.

Crossing Procedures for Students:

Students are to be at their designated bus stops and on the side of the

road of the bus pickup 5 minutes before the bus service.

Except at specifically designated bus stops, the students are not to wait until the

bus stops and then cross the road to board the bus.

Students getting off the bus are to wait on the side of the road where they get off.

Students must stand away from the side of the bus until the bus pulls away leaving

better clearance for vision in both directions.

When traffic clears and it is safe to cross, students can proceed to the other side

of the road.

Prices:

Breakfast: $1.40

Reduced Price Breakfast: $0.30

Lunch: $2.50

Reduced Price Lunch: $0.40

Fresh Fruit: $0.50

Ice Cream: $0.50

The SNAP Card program is encouraged to fund your child's meals at the cafeteria

(avoid forgotten lunches/money). Questions regarding the program can be directed to
